Isabel Rivera-Hernandez

Student, University of Texas at Austin

One of our board members, Mariette Peltier, had this to say about our scholarship recipient:

"Isabel Rivera-Hernandez will graduate from Eastside Memorial Early College High School in May 2020. At the time of her application, she was the valedictorian of her graduating class. Throughout her time at Eastside, she challenged herself by taking a myriad of dual credit classes at Austin Community College, and she will graduate high school with her associate’s degree.

At Eastside, Isabel served as the varsity captain of the soccer team, was a member of the Student Council and the National Honor Society, and engaged in various forms of community service. She also sought out opportunities to further her professional growth during the summer, by interning for a law office and participating in a summer health program at UT-Austin.

Isabel hopes to pursue a career in politics so that she may lead in a way that will create change in the world. Her application highlighted her maturity, vision, and determination, which are all indicators of her strong drive to achieve her goals."

Isabel will be attending The University of Texas at Austin next fall to begin her studies as a government major and spanish minor.

The Envisioning Greater Success Foundation is pleased to offer her a $2,000 award for her accomplishments.
